Vocational training and apprenticeship

Everything about vocational training and apprenticeship in Algeria: which branches and specialties exist, what diploma they lead to and how long they take, and where to train in your wilaya.

Guide to vocational training and apprenticeship in Algeria

Vocational training is a full track alongside general education: it is open to those leaving middle school or high school, and even to early school-leavers, and leads to diplomas recognised on the labour market and accepted in recruitment competitions. The tools in this category rest on the national nomenclature of branches and specialties and on the network of training establishments as the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education publishes them: 32 branches, over 2,700 specialties and close to 1,900 centres and institutes across 69 wilayas, with two enrolment sessions a year (February and September).

What is the data based on?

The specialty and establishment data comes from the takwin.dz vocational-orientation platform of the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education. The nomenclature of branches and specialties rests on executive decree 16-282 and order no. 197 of 11 June 2019. Establishments are mapped onto the new 69-wilaya administrative division; everything here is indicative and does not replace the official platform.
