About this tool

Natural-disaster (CAT-NAT) cover has been compulsory for every property owner in Algeria since ordonnance 03-12 of 26 August 2003, and proof of it is normally required at the notary. This tool estimates the annual premium under the order of 21 July 2026: insured capital × a rate in per mille (‰) that varies with the seismic zone and with whether the building meets the seismic-design rules.

Pick the wilaya, then the commune — the seismic zone is read from annexe A of the Algerian seismic-design rules RPA 2024 (you can override it) — then enter the type of property and the built area. The figure is indicative: the actual premium and the deductible are set by the insurer's contract.
