150-day maternity leave calculator

Since 23 July 2025, law 25-08 raises maternity leave from 98 to 150 consecutive days, indemnified at 100% of the daily net salary (after deducting the social-security contribution and tax). The leave starts at the earliest 42 days before the presumed birth date and is not shortened by an early birth.

The indemnified period can be extended by 50 days if the newborn has a disability, congenital malformation or grave illness, then by a second extension of up to 165 additional days – subject to a medical file (pediatric specialist's certificate) filed at least 15 days before the current period expires.
