Can you voluntarily affiliate to the retirement system as a diaspora member?

Voluntary affiliation to the national retirement system is for members of the national community abroad who carry out a professional activity outside the country and are not subject to mandatory affiliation to the Algerian social-security system. It lets them build retirement rights and sickness-maternity cover through a voluntary contribution paid in convertible currency.

This tool first checks whether you meet the five conditions of article 7 of executive decree 22-351, then estimates your contribution from the monthly base you declare (floor of 3× the reference salary = 54,000 DA). The result is indicative; the final decision rests with CNAS.
